Join our educators as we investigate a range of STEAM topics, and explore the multidisciplinary field of aviation. After a quick lesson about aviation, participants will be able to put their newfound knowledge to the test with a hands-on activity. This program will be offered every 4th Wednesday of the month at 2 PM and is FREE with museum admission. Afternoon Aviators is ideal for learners 8-12 years of age. 

Students will learn and understand how military aviation started as a means of communication with the Signal Air Corps and how they used radios to communicate. Students will try to communicate using "radio wave" vibrations with a cup and string radio.
