Celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math with the Department of Parks and Recreation

Riverdale, MD – Is there someone in your family who would love creating their own lip-gloss or bath bombs? How about slime? Or do you know someone who is more interested in building with Legos or cooking like a chemist? You can do all of this and more by joining us for STEAMFest!

All month, the Department of Parks and Recreation is celebrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and math by hosting STEAM-related hands-on activities and experiments all across the county! For a complete list of our STEAMFest celebrations, click here.

To kick-off our month-long celebration, we’re hosting the third annual STEAMFest! At this one-day event, you can check out more than 80 STEAM-related activities and demonstrations. The event also features special guest speakers like ABC7 meteorologist Veronica Johnson and WHUR’s Renee Nash.
